PoolWebWorld is developed under Shoe Stealin' Studios. It's written and programmed by me, TheShoeBurglar (hi), as a way to get a grip on html/css/js programming and as a public creative writing project. Usually my focus is moreso on application games but I've always wanted to smash together my love of ""gaming"" and writing worlds where cute characters have horrible things happen to them.
PoolWebWorld is directly inspired off of a ROBLOX game Dueddle and I randomly made on a whim that turned into a hellish 9 hour crunch session. It was the first of many sessions; the original game was a rickety train with one section of rail placed ahead of it at a time in regards to its story, gameplay, and presentation. Because we let loose and simply threw things at the wall, it soon came to have a very distinct personality of its own. I always wanted to bring its world into a place where I had more control over how its presented to amp up its quirks even more... Hopefully this works!
I will be transparent: Things are halfway planned out because thats part of the fun of creating PWW. The core story is already thought out (for the most part...) but a good portion of this is still winging it as we build off and renovate the original game's ideas.
Stay tuned down below! This project will get bursts of updates that are likely to be posted about in the below places!
TheShoeBurglar - Writing and coding PoolWebWorld.
Dueddle - Composing music for PoolWebWorld.
CartobaI and Pekonomy - For being the #1 poolers known to man. (And also playtesting a lot, lol)
